Is a visa required for Bali?

Per June 10, 2015, when less than 30 days stay in Indonesia, a visa not required for tourists entering Indonesia through nine government established gateways / cities, namely Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta), Ngurah Rai (Bali) Kuala Namu (Medan), Juanda (Surabaya), Hang Nadim (Batam), Sri Bintan Pura (Tanjung Pinang), Batam (Batam), Sekupang (Batam) and Tanjung Uban (Riau). You also have to go through one of these nine gates / places to leave the country again. A visa for a period longer than 30 days are available from the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague. www.visa4indonesia.nl


Is Bali safe?

Bali, and especially the Northern part, where villa Rumah Rindu is located, is very safe.
For you security feeling and comfort we do have security personnel.
Among the personnel we have 2 guards who keep an eye on the surroundings of the villa, the garden and te beach between 6 pm and 6 am.
 


Which airport is closest to the villa?

Bali has 1 international airport, Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar.
Villa Rumah Rindu can arrange the transportation from and to the airport for you.
The ride from the airport to the villa takes approximately 2,5 hours. You will cross the island and can already enjoy all the activity at the side of the road and the beautiful landschape.
 


What money do I bring to Bali?

The national currency is the Rupiah (IDR). Near the villa in the city of Lovina or Seririt you can get cash from the ATM with your debitcard or creditcard.

You can also bring euros to Bali and change them into Rupiahs. In Bali cash is still being used a lot so it is good to always have cash on you. In larger stores and restaurants you can also pay with your creditcard.

How do I get from the airport to villa Rumah Rindu?

We can arrange transport from and to the airport. You will be transported in a modern, small van with a driver. The price indication is approximately IDR 650.000 (44 euro). During your stay you can also use our driver for a fair price.
